About the artist

Diana was born in Pontypool South Wales, as a Williams and has a family background in art; both parents being Art teachers and Designers. Some of the family came from Lye and the Black Country being Chainmakers, Watch and Clockmakers.

Diana trained as a Tattoo artist in the 1980's and had her own studio in Royal Leamington Spa in the early 90's. Returning to college she studied Ceramics, Jewellery and Calligraphy, before going on to Access to Fine Art. She graduated with B.A Hons Fine Art at the Birmingham Institute of Art and design,Margaret Street,University of Central England, where she worked in mixed media, from web design to sculpture and photography, ceramics and printmaking.
Diana is currently living in Pembrokeshire where she hopes to become a memeber of the artistic community there.

On leaving university she became a liveaboard on narrowboat Witch Hazel based at Hanbury Wharf, where her love of canals, instilled from childhood holidays on her Uncle John's cruiser 'Tern'on the Monmouth-Brecon canal, soon combined with her artistic skills to study Traditional Canal Painting and further her web design as hobbies.

Diana appeared on the Live Loot slot on the Channel 5 Terry Wogan and Gaby Roslyn show where Danny the outside broadcast presenter bought one of her pieces, to take back to the London Studio as one of the competition prizes. (see Photos at end of page.)
